An instructional program for girls that teaches the game of golf in a fun environment.

We divide our girls into four various age divisions:
•    Aces 7-8  (Spring 2024)

•    Pars 9-10  (Spring 2024)

•    Birdies 11-12  (Summer 2024)

•    Eagles 13 & Up  (Summer 2024)

Program History

The LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) started a national program in 1989 to introduce girls 7-17 to the game of golf. The LPGA and USGA partnered to offer grant funds to sites around the country annually. Our local partner is the LPGA Women Amateur Association (formerly the Executive Women’s Golf Association of Fairfield County (EWGA) who supports the program through matching contributions. Just recently, the Tashua Knolls Women’s Golf Association voted to also adopt our local LPGA Girls golf club. The proceeds from their annual summer Ladies Invitational will be added to our matching grant.

Our Fairfield County chapter established in 2001 and move to Tashua Knolls Golf Course in 2005. We began with 20 girls and currently average over 110 girls each season. Our program runs from April through September at Tashua Knolls Golf Club in Trumbull, CT. PGA Director of Golf, Bobby Brown and his team of instructors and mentors teach our girls the fundamentals of the golf swing, short game and on course lesson with an emphasis on basic rules, etiquette and courtesies. The facility provides the girls with a driving range, 2 practice putting greens, a chipping and bunker area and a 9-hole Par 33 golf course (est. in 2005). These facilities are in addition to our Championship Par 72 Tashua Knolls Golf Club established in 1976.
